Skunk is a magazine for

young people, which is available free of charge. It was founded in 1998 by a bunch of enthusiasts in order to make the variety of local magazines for young people some more colourful and in order to get an insight in the world of media, to interfere in it actively and to set new directions. The magazine consists of 24 pages containing all the topics young people are interested in, such as sports, music, events and movie reviews. There are also some comic strips and poems, which we receive from our readers. The most important aim for us is to make some of the boring lessons at school more pleasant for our readers. And we are trying to make life and boring lectures some more bearable for students, too. But Skunk is not just an interactive medium for our staff members, which they can contribute to and work at - it also gives our readers the opportunity to participate actively during the process of creation. We also do not only try to inform and entertain our readers with exciting stories and event recommendations, instead we also give them the chance to take part in raffles and win great prices. The target group of our magazine is between 12 and 25 years - and that is about the age of our authors, too. We reach our aim - to make our readers get interested in our magazine - not least by the use of a very professional layout and an extremely attractive appearance of our Skunk magazine.

Our magazine is to be

found at schools, vocational schools, high schools and at universities. In this way we do not only reach an extensive distribution, but we also reach our target group directly. In this way we can give pupils the opportunity to get out of their boring daily life and to participate actively in a newspaper.
